This morning
A clip of Emmerdale showing the interruption of Charity's singing for the arrive
of Sadie started Patsy's interview.
Philip asked about the the build up to her joining Emmerdale
in the papers, Patsy said she didn't read them and kept away from any mention as much
as possible.
She has been up there for 5 weeks is enjoying herself working, Sadie is a fab character
She loves working with Emma Atkins. Sadie is married to the eldest king son, and is the daughter Tom
never had, she and Charity clash.
She said everyone was so welcoming, she was star struck when she first arrived, as when she
heard she had a part in Emmerdale she put her little'ns bathtime back and watched it with him
She was the new girl and it was great. Everyone was kind to her, now she feels she has been there forever.
Fern asked how she copes with 6 days a a week and the change of discipline from other forms
of acting, Patsy said that soaps are now the drama of TV and this is something she had wanted to-do
for a while, as her children are growing she wants to be more settled with them rather than up
stick and work all over the place. They have great storylines fantastic actors in them
and she looked t it that more people would see her work as an actress than in any film or play, she felt
honoured she was asked.
She hopes the fans of the show like Sadie and she doesn't let them down.
Patsy talked about changing her lifestyle and her kids are her life these days.
She went to the soap awards and loved every minute of it, everyone was enthusiastic about their
own shows.
She was asked about her working week, Patsy said she is lucky as she has had the same nanny for
5 years she is godmother to her children. As she is working may be three days on and 3 off and it's only 2 1/2 hours
on the train so they come with them, it's working out. She loves Leeds and stays in a wonderful hotel.
Asked how long she is in Emmerdale forever she hopes but is contracted until December.
After reminders that she started tonight good-byes were said.
