On Saturday Jo Henderson starting judging and it was apparent as we went round the standard of entries was extremely high. The judging took nearly 3 hours then Jo had to make a decision, well you could have cut the air with a knife with over 60 people in the Resource Centre waiting with anxiously for the result. All we needed now was Eric Morley to announce the winners in reverse order!!

Saturday 13th March 2004 saw the first planting of trees in Jaywick.

Although advertised to start at 10.30 the planting was well underway by 9am. All ages groups were represented the youngest being just 2 years old and the eldest were penisoners. The planting and layng out of the bushes went on way into the afternon. One of the ladies backing the new park made everyone a welome cup of tea. The next stage will be just around the corner where hopefully gardens will be able to take shape. Anyone wanting to join in the fun morning should contact the Green Team,.
