Sure Start
Sure Start came to Jaywick approximately two years ago, and
now after what seems like forever, (although there has been
a lot of work behind the scenes), things have started to happen
|
| Toy Library There are two play and stay sessions
a week, one at Jaywick Methodist Church Hall. Tuesdays 10am til
12 noon and one at Rush Green Methodist hall Thursdays at the
same times. Toys at both places can be played with, borrowed,
and ordered. Larger toys can be booked and Hayley the toy library
co ordinator will be happy to drop them round to your house. Toys
once ordered can also be picked up from the main office in the
Enterprise units. For more information you can contact Hayley
on 01255 688395 |
| The Community Parent programme is now up
and running, recently nine parents passed the first course, and
are out and about giving a supporting hand to families in the
Sure Start area with children of pre school age. If you think
you have what it takes to become a community parent, call Liz
on 01255 688334 or drop in to the Bluehouse Office for a chat
with her for more information. |
| There are now lots of courses and other events
running across five days a week. Many are posted on the message
board. For further details just phone the office. On01255 688274 |
