Jaywick Rocks
Artist Karen Lois Whiteread spent the summer in Jaywick. The firm who won the Arts Stratery bid commioned her to make a film, which she did by filming Jaywick and interviewing it's residence and holiday makers. She along with the Gazette ran a postcard competition. Entries can be seen at the Martello Tower this coming weekend during opening hours.
On Friday the 20th there was a screening of the film. but this wasn't just any old screening, the film was projected onto the side of the Martello Tower as the pictures show. These pictures were taken by Karen during the evening.
A crowd watched the film that was put on twice, they also enjoyed sticks of rock and ice cream, before going into the tower and browsing through the postcards from the competition
