Been a while updating so I thought this summer I'd take a walk around Brooklands.
The "Entrance" is the caprark and Market place, the market even over the time I've been doing this site has got smaller and wheras it used to run from Easter through to October. one year even went on until Christmas now only seems to have a markety feel to it during the school holidays, the rest of the time it is lucky if it sees half the stall holders turn up.
The next pictures show the roads that run off the Brooklands top road and the chalets inbetween.
This is about halfway along the top road, the new comunity centre, it seems to be just after this point the chalets along the top fall into disrepair as the pictures below start to show.
And with the new flats at the end thats the Brooklands top road.
From the flats we now go around back and the new Midway.
Getting to the end of the housing along Midway it's back along the ditch from the bottom of the roads pointing to the sea wall
Here is the ditch, or at least the end of it, at the end of Wolseley Ave the pipe starts and the rest of the ditch is filled in right on to the estate. I'm not suire if that was the plan or the powers that be ran out of money.
And we come full circle back to the Sunspot. and marketplace
