The market place is open every Sunday from Easter to October,
it used to finish when the sea came over the wall and flooded
it. Since the regeneration, the flooding hasn't happened. But
because of the biting cold winds that come straight from the sea
they still stop when the holidaymakers go home.
The site is also used for boot sales Wednesdays and Saturdays.
These can get busy in the summer, once again due to the influx
of holiday makers, but as soon as they vanish so do the bootsale
sellers.
The market also marks the entrance to the Brooklands estate.
