Frobisher school opened in 1966, it is located
on the tudor estate. In 1989 a new one story building was erected
before the old one was demolished. It was built to take 200 pupils
but has had two mobile classrooms added to cope with further demand.
It was an infants come junior school but has now been extended
to take in nursery age children. Children from the furthest end
of Jaywick, Brooklands and Grasslands have a mini bus manned by
volunteers, to get them to school.
Secondary school children mainly go to Colbayns in Clacton, although
there is also Clacton County High. |

A sunny afternoon at Frobisher school it's sports day, and
the children are enjoying every minute. |
The Christmas Fete.
Every year the PTA arrange a Christmas fete to support the school
funds. This year was no exception. As you can see plenty of people
turned up to buy christmas decorations, homemade pickles and take
part in raffles. There was also a jumble stall to pick up a bargain
or two. For the small ones Father Christmas made an appearance. |
