The high street of Jaywick is known as the Broadway.
Summer it is a hive of activity with the amusement arcades open
from 10am until late. There are also a number of shops and eating
places.
Looking from the direction of the sea
one can see a row of shops starting with Hemmington House, the new
Surestart building,and ending with a bookies. Inbetween comes a
supermarket and gardening shop among others.
